Kelly and Rob are the type of people that put you at ease immediately and make you feel as though you have known them forever. They are well loved by their friends and families-and even more evident is their love for each other.
These two were wed at St. Andrew's church on Market street and then we headed down to the Cape Fear Country club for a fabulous reception. Kelly told us there were close to 400 guests, so needless to say we had quite a party at the reception! The day was lovely and despite some rain we were able to grab some great portraits of the newly minted Mr. and Mrs. Van der Vaart...soon to be Dr. Van der Vaart.
Best of luck to you both!
We were fortunate to work with the always wonderful Lifestage Videography, and equaly amazing Holiday Band.
Some lovely details.
The bridesmaid's reaction to seeing Kelly in her gown for the first time.
The beautiful bride...I love her expression.

Love this sequence-they are so stinkin' cute together!

We love the huge white columns at the country club, they have a classic Antebellum feel about them, not to mention they offer a great backdrop for a black and white image.

You may notice that Kelly had a wardrobe change, which I think is a super smart idea...and then the party really got started.
They exited the reception with a pom-pom send off with UNC colors.
