Oh how we love Amy and Chris! Love, love, love. First of all, they are gorgeous-I heard numerous guests refer to them as "Barbie and Ken" :)
Secondly, they are two of the kindest and most genuine people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. And lastly-and certainly not least, but for the sake of time as the list could seriously continue on and on- they know how to have a good time!

Jennifer Priddy and I were so excited to be a part of Chris & Amy's wedding day! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting or couple! These two have such a beautiful love story. One that began with friendship, turned to love, and then lead to marriage. You can spend 5 minutes with these two and know undoubtedly that they will be just as devoted to each other 40 years from now, as they are today. They are simply wonderful together.

Many thanks to the amazing gals at Fiore Fine Flowers

The ceremony was held at the lovely Airlie Gardens

and the reception followed at Landfall Country Club

Amy is one chic girl! From the beautiful color choices, to the dresses, to the shoes-everything was flawless!

Amy, you are one stunning bride!

Weaver016.jpg

Amy and Chris wrote their own vows for the ceremony, and they were very touching. Amy is sneaking a quick review of her vows.

I love this shot Jen P snagged of Chris walking his grandmother down the aisle, so precious!

I LOVE this shot from Jennifer of Chris leaning to see his bride!

I just love these two.

For the past 18 months, we've had the privilege of working with two amazing girls on our staff. Jennifer Hiatt and Jennifer Priddy are both graduates of Randolph Community College, which is an intensive two year photography school in Asheboro, NC.

Besides their invaluable help in the office, they have also become fabulous associate shooters! They have been working alongside both Kevin & Lauren on family, engagement, bridal and wedding shoots, and we have to tell you-they are good! We are so happy to have them contribute their eye and artistry to KMI and we are so excited for the wonderful things to come from them!

You can check out their work here but for right now, enjoy our recent trip to Carolina Beach aka Pleasure Island, NC.
We recently made the trek down to the boardwalk at Carolina Beach for a fun shoot and we were pleasantly sidetracked by a nice little gelato shop. We have such fond memories of gelato from our trip to Europe. It's safe to say we ate enough to feed a small village while in Italy. Oh lovely, colorful, delicious gelato! Gelato, gelato, we all scream for....!

This is Jennifer Priddy. She is a connoisseur of good beer, good beach music, and she will make you laugh in a heart beat!
KMI001.jpg Meet Jennifer Hiatt. World traveler, cliff jumper-extraordinaire. She is sweet as pie (or gelato for that matter) and the most easy going gal you will meet-well next to Jennifer Priddy :)
KMI002.jpg I think it was lemon and grapefruit...soooo good!

KMI006.jpg And to dissuade the rumors, yes we do in fact love-and actually really like-each other :)

KMI009.jpg AVIATORS. They make even the most uncool, very cool.
KMI010.jpg We bestowed to the "Jennifers" our most precocious gift as photographers, the Nalgene.
Our personal Nalgene (or Old Faithful as we call it) has been with us for nearly 5 years, through the thick and thin, life's ups and downs, weddings, funerals, baptisms, Europe, the Carribbean, you name it, the Nalgene has been there, what better gift to give than the gift of hydration?

David and Victoria were married on May 15 at the beautiful Lebanon Chapel near Airlie Gardens in Wilmington. It was a chic, southern wedding complete with a stunning reception on the water at Victoria's childhood home.

Jennifer Hiatt and I had the pleasure of photographing this wedding together and we could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding or a more delightful couple! Everything about the day was lovely. From the intimate ceremony, to the gorgeous reception set on Bradley Creek, to the rocking band-it was a dream wedding. And more than that, it was just plain fun!

Thanks to the fabulous vendors who worked their magic to create a perfect day!

The amazing food was catered by A Southern Thyme
Anna Echols of Party Flavors Custom Cakes designed the confectionery masterpiece. You may have seen Anna on TLC's show, The Ultimate Cake Off, so you can just imagine how delicious the cake was :)

The Secrets Band kept the party hopping with some amazing music.

Sam Haddock lent his skills to create the beautiful floral arrangements.

Victoria rocked out some gorgeous Kate Spade heels!

I love this shot of Victoria getting out of the limo, it's simple and beautiful.

Oh how we loved photographing David and Victoria! Love, love, love.

Check out this amazing image by Jen. I adore this image.

After some shots at The Lebanon Chapel we headed to the reception and took full advantage of our lovely setting.

I just love this image.

The Secrets Band are now one of my all time favorites! They were ahhh-mazing!

Thanks David and Victoria for letting us join you for your big day, every part of it was lovely!!!!

We photographed Victoria's bridal session at her parent's beautiful property on Bradley Creek. She was an absolutely stunning bride and she was so natural and at ease. We can't wait to show you the pictures from Victoria and David's wedding, it was amazing!

Danny and Beth are adorable and we had a wonderful time at their beautiful Bald Head Island wedding! We had some awesome additional shooters for the day as well, Jennifer Priddy and Jennifer Hiatt-better known to us as 'The Jennifers.' :) You will get to see some of their fabulous work in the very near future, be excited!

We had too much fun roaming around the island on our six person golf cart and hanging out with Danny and Beth. These two were so wonderful together and graciously put up with the "paparazzi" that followed them around all day :)

Beth had such an ease about her the whole day, even in stressful situations. Beth's mom had a bad fall early on in the day while decorating and had to rush off the island to get stitches. However, this incident didn't put a damper on the day or Beth's attitude at all, and Beth's mom was back in plenty of time for the wedding. It was so lovely to be around such positive, laid back people for the day.

Thanks Beth and Danny for being amazing and thanks for letting us take part in your wedding day!

The details of the day were so cute! There were parasols, pashmina scarves, and fans for the guests-all in shades of blue.

Beth's mom made the pretty streamers.

Beth and Danny chose to see each other before the wedding ceremony in order to get lots of pictures around the island. This is their first sight of each other, so sweet!

0015.jpg

We went back out on the beach and battled the wind, quite literally for some shots. But I'm so thankful Danny and Beth were okay with being pelted by sand, because the images we got are well worth it!

I love this image and it gives a little insight into how windy it was.

Bald Head Island Catering provided the food, and my mouth waters just thinking about how delicious it was!

We finished the day with a outfit change and some sweet images in a little hammock.

This might be my favorite from the day.

013A.jpg What would a wedding be without a bicycle exit? The cuteness is almost too much :)
